Refugee Drop In
A fortnightly, multi agency one stop shop for asylum seekers and refugees, no appointment needed.
What This Service Provides
REMA's Refugee Drop In, also known as the Asylum Drop In One Stop Shop, is held fortnightly at the Unity Centre. It brings together several partner agencies, including RMBC Housing, Voluntary Action Rotherham, the British Red Cross, the Refugee Council and Jobcentre Plus, so people can get help with several issues in a single visit rather than navigating different services separately.
Around 40 people attend each session, getting support with housing, legal questions, welfare benefits and health related services, all under one roof.
